DAY 2 – SATURDAY
ISTANBUL CITY & OTTOMAN ART TOUR
Full day city Tour visiting: Blue Mosque, St. Sophia, originally a Christian Basilica, conceived by Constantine and rebuilt by Justinian. In 1920’s Ataturk converted it to a Museum, Hippodrome. ISTANBUL /CAPPADOCIA
Breakfast at Hotel and rest of your morning is free to explore Istanbul on own. Later transfer to the airport for the flight to Cappadocia. DAY 4 – MONDAY
CAPPADOCIA
For millions of years, the mighty volcanoes of the Central Anatolian Plateau erupted and spewed their contents across the land that would become the cradle of civilization. The interesting rock formations, known as “fairy chimneys”, have been formed as the result of the erosion of the tufa layer, sculpted by wind and flood water, running down on the slopes of the valleys. Early Morning depart for Pamukkale. En route first stop at 13th century caravanserai `Sultanhan’ & later Konya, the city famous far beyond the borders of Turkey. Visit the most important in Konya is Mevlana’s Mausoleum, the mystic Sufi poet and the founder of the Whirling Dervish order. DAY 6 – WEDNESDAY
PAMUKKALE / HIERAPOLIS / SELCUK / KUSADASI
After breakfast visit the ancient city of Hierapolis. The ruins of the biggest Necropolis (graveyard) of the ancient world, Roman Baths, Basilica and calcium cliffs. EPHESUS & SIRINCE EXCURSION
After breakfast at the hotel drive to Ancient city of Ephesus where we will visit its magnificent library, theater and temples. Lunch in nomadic tent in Selcuk to taste Turkish Gozleme. KUSADASI / BERGAMA / TROY / CANAKKALE
In the morning visit Bergama (ancient Pergamon). Parchment was invented here. This was the hometown of Galen, renowned doctor and surgeon and site of his temple devoted to healing, the Asclepion.
