The eclipse in Salem was spectacular enough to convince me to sign up for the July 2019 eclipse in Chile. Thanks so much.- Sara Magnuson
Hello Mark, Before I begin, I have registered my interest on your site for the 2020 eclipse…assuming you get notified. I just want to thank you so much for an amazing experience on what was possibly the ideal text book day of weather in Salem for my first ever totality. The location, in my opinion, was perfect as we had space to do our photography observation round in the quad, so thank you for cordoning a section off there for the few of us that wanted it remaining kept a secret haha. I was most pleased to get a photo with yourself and Jay at some point in between the tugging you were both getting from all angles, but what I loved the most was my reaction as a first timer. My stomach was in knots before leaving the hotel but as totality approached, I was getting calmer as it was just a wonderful force of nature to witness. Crunch time was totality as I had tirelessly rehearsed in the month before the trip of my photography set up – and it went without a hitch! The rehearsing paid off as I was very calm and composed during totality. I fired off 18 shots of the moon and still had time to witness the final minute all to myself, so I would say it was a well done all round. Again I want to thank you, Jay and your team immensely for making my experience so worth it and to show my appreciation, please see attached some of the photos I took of the moon. Please pass on my appreciation to all. Looking forward to my 40th birthday eclipse in 2020! –Chris Curtis
It was a lovely surprise when I came down to the hotel lobby at 4 am. to get a taxi to the Hut Airport Shuttle, to find a lovely bag of goodies from Classic Tours awaiting me. That is greatly appreciated and I now wear the T Shirts with pride and good memories.- Susan McKenna-Lawlor

Dear Pasachoff san, Mark san, I have just returned to Kansai Airport. All of us were very happy to have observed the nice eclipse with the perfect sky. Thank you very much for your kind arrangements. Please also convey my hearty thanks to staffs of Willamette University for providing us with observing site and electric power. – H. Kurokawa, Japan
Hi Jay, Just wanted to thank you for organizing the Salem Eclipse Expedition. My whole family enjoyed the Total Eclipse—ice water, chairs, bathrooms, a clear blue sky (while lack of infrastructure makes for good stories afterward—it isn’t fun at the time).Bill and Ellen Brewer
Hi Mark, Amy and I had a fantastic time at the eclipse! Everything was perfect. Thanks so much to you and your staff for your excellent organization – Phyllis Lugger
Again, a great job pulling off all the details for bringing nearly 400 people to Salem for one of the greatest eclipses ever! I’m still on an eclipse high, even nearly two weeks after the big event. – Kyle & Mary Adler
