DAY 1- Apr.6, SAT: ARRIVAL IN MAZATLAN – BIENVENIDOS A MÉXICO!
After arrival in Mazatlán, meeting assistance and transfer to the Hotel. Mazatlan, located on the Pacific coast, just across from the tip of Baja California. Mazatlan was an important city in the early 17th century because of the nearby gold and silver mines. It took quite a while and some enterprising German businessmen to develop the port in the mid-1800s. Twenty years later, during the French intervention, Mazatlan was the stronghold of Mexican independence troops. By the end of the 19th century, this city had become the center of a large fishing industry and a thriving port involved in international trade, which included China and Japan. It still retains the title “capital of the shrimping business”. At night, gather together for a tour briefing followed by Dinner. HOTEL – DINNER
DAY 2- Apr. 7, SUN: MAZATLAN – OLD TOWN AND THE BEACH
This Mazatlan City tour provides a great overview of Mazatlan and you’ll come away appreciating its beauty. You will be driven along the ocean front drive towards the high divers, who dive into water only five feet deep from 45 feet in the air. Continue to the top of the lookout hills to have the amazing view of the whole city as your guide tells you local folklore & history Next head to the historical center to see the Angela Peralta Theater, built in the 1870s. the Plazuela Machado, the Mansion of Redo, the Bank of London, Mexico Building, and the Temple of San José.. Enjoy free time at the main market to do some souvenir shopping. As you walk through town, photograph the city hall and the majestic Conception Cathedral. Construction on the cathedral began in 1875 and took 42 years to complete
Note: You may leave tour in town and enjoy lunch at local restaurants returning back to Hotel on your own. Perhaps you would go for a stroll on the beautiful Malecon or have a coffee in Mazatlán’s lively old town. The afternoon is at leisure.
Join fellow tour members to visit our exclusive eclipse viewing site so participants can familiarize themselves and also for accompanying astronomy experts to review weather reports and any related effect/changes to our viewing plans/site. DAY 3-Apr. 8, MON: ECLIPSE WATCHING
After Breakfast transfer to our exclusive eclipse viewing site scouted by our Eclipse experts. Arrive early with plenty of time to set up for the eclipse. From our exclusive site you can view 4 minute 15 seconds of eclipse totality According to weather predictions/ expert guidance we expect clear skies nevertheless a bus will be at our disposal to travel along the eclipse path to seek out a clear location for viewing, if needed. Buffet Lunch, water, soft drinks & Snacks, tables and chairs are provided at the viewing site. Return to hotel after the eclipse and rest of the day is free for independent activities or take an optional tour. This evening join fellow tour members for a celebratory Dinner & a report by our Eclipse experts. HOTEL– BREAKFAST, LUNCH & DINNER

DAY 4, Apr. 9, TUE: MAZATLAN – MONTEREY
You are leaving the beach to head to your city escape adventure when your driver picks you up from your hotel and takes you to the airport for your flight to Monterey. Arriving in Monterey you will be picked up and taken on your first adventure. Explore the vibrant city of Monterey, mostly known for its business and strong industry. Enjoy a 360 degree view from the Mirador de Obispado before you visit the must see La Catedral, Museum Metropolitano and La Fuente de la Vida (The source of life) and many more sightseeing spots. Be surprised by what this city has to offer. After your tour the staff of the hotel is ready to check you in. HOTEL– BREAKFAST & LUNCH
DAY 5- Apr. 10, WED: DINO & VINO / PARRAS DE LA FUENTE
After a good breakfast the journey towards the rural and unknown Mexico starts. Head out of the city and to Saltillo where your first stop will be the Museum of Dinosaurs. Learn about forgotten times, see the large collection of fossils and plants and includes autochthonous animals of the Mexican desert. This interactive museum prepares you well for being an anthropologist yourself for the next hours at Rincon Colorado, the first paleontological site in the country adapted for public visits, where the footprints of the Cretaceous period are preserved and a large concentration of herbivorous dinosaur remains, called hadrosaurs, has been discovered, offers a trip to Earth’s past 72 million years ago. Complete this special day with a visit of Vinery Don Leo where you will tour and taste the wine of Mexico. Check in to your hotel. HOTEL- BREAKFAST & LUNCH
DAY 6- Apr. 11, THU: PARRAS DE LA FUENTE
Explore the colonial town of Parras de la Fuente with all its local highlights. Visit the historic center of the town and the temple San Ignacio de Loyola as well as the birth house of Mexican president Madero. Enjoy half day at leisure where you can either relax at the hotel, stroll through the colorful streets of Parras de la Fuente and enjoy the local market. HOTEL- BREAKFAST & LUNCH
DAY 7 – Apr.12, FRI: PARRAS DE LA FUENTE / CUATROCIENEGAS
After a good breakfast you will visit the small but impressive Casa Madero, the first Wine in Latin America. This 1-hour tour tells about the story and production of its famous wine and the area. Enjoy nature passing on your road trip to Cuatrocienegas. This magical town owes its name to its abundant springs that form extensive caves in the middle of the desert. The unique combination of white sands, blue pools and rivers of crystalline waters are one of mother nature’s masterpieces. After check in you have time to explore the small town of Cuatrocienegas. DAY 8, Apr. 13, SAT: EXPERIENCE DESERT LIFE
An active day lies ahead and get ready with a good breakfast at your hotel before heading off road to visit the beautiful desert nature and the surroundings. Be dazzled by the magic of Poza Azul where you can enjoy a blue oasis in the middle of the desert. The more than four hundred pools of crystal-clear water found amid the desert sands make a unique landscape. Discover the protected zone, whose geological features favor an endemic makeup of unique species. If you want to know a totally white, inhospitable, and infrequent dream site, you have to be in the Dunas de Yeso. Only a few miles outside of Cuatro Cienegas the Marble Mines will remind you of ancient Greek times. Climb to the top and enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. At night head to Rio San Marcos where the sun will set, and you get ready for your astronomical evening. Be amazed by the number of stars you can see in the desert. HOTEL – BREAKFAST & LUNCH
DAY 9- Apr. 14, SUN: STAR WELLNES AT SAN JOAQUIN
You will continue your journey after breakfast to the marvelous hotel of Termas de San Joaquin. Arriving after a 3 hours drive at this unique and spectacular hotel you will be spoiled with a light lunch before our guided thermals Hydrotherapy session begins, through which you get total relaxation with sounds and meditation. DAY 10- Apr. 15, MON: FREE DAY IN PARADISE or take optional tours
Today you enjoy a bicycle tour through the large spaces that surround the hotel facilities with pre-designed routes and trails in the areas surrounding which have mountain biking. In the afternoon you have the option to go on a hike where the wide biodiversity that encompasses the semi desert of northern Mexico, is shown in these guided tours, where you can observe and identify the different species of birds that inhabit the area, as well as observe and admire the flora of the region, where you will even identify and you will know endemic cacti.
