TRAVEL DOCUMENTS- All participants must hold a passport valid for over 6 months from date of travel. Visas may be required for the countries visited. For visa requirements please visit the respective country Consulate/ Embassy website for further information.
HEALTH REQUIREMENTS- We strongly recommend that you consult with your doctor &/or the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta, GA or appropriate agency in your country in regard to your itinerary and required inoculations. Please ensure that required inoculations for visiting destination of your choice and returning to North America/ your home country are recorded on a valid vaccination certificate and must be in your possession during the tour.
TRAVEL ADVISORIES: Travelers are advised to check US State department/ US embassies (or respective country the traveler belongs to) advisories and guidelines before taking a trip. As these advisories change frequently ACTC cannot be held responsible for any implications/requirements from such advisories.
RESERVATIONS AND DEPOSITS- Early reservations are essential to ensure proper documentation and guarantee accommodations. A deposit of $250 to $500.00 Per Person (depending on cost of customized or special interest tour package), $350.00 Per person on set tours is payable to ACTC office within 15 days after booking to continue holding a reservation or as advised by the reservation agent. Final payments are due 90 to 60 days prior to departure. Reservations made within 60 days of departure to be paid in full at the time of confirmation or as specified by the reservation agent. Please refer to terms listed on your booking confirmation/ invoice. Terms may vary according to the tour type and destination. Terms applicable to Astronomy, Incredible Journey’s and Special Interest Tours will be advised on advertised material, website, invoices etc. Please check at time of booking.
RATES AND FARES- All rates shown are in United States dollars and are accurate at the time of publication. Rates are subject to change at any time prior to tour departure.
PLANNING & CONSULTATION FEES- Fees paid by Customer for planning and booking a Customized tour are non- refundable. No exceptions.
TOUR INFORMATION- A booking acknowledgement will be sent immediately upon receipt of a reservation. An invoice with appropriate general information such as reading and clothing suggestions, customs information, weather, etc. on the countries visited will be forwarded upon receipt of deposit. Final tour documents consisting of detailed tour itinerary, hotel list, mailing list, tour member list & emergency contact both in countries vested and in USA etc. are forwarded approximately 30 to 45 days prior to the tour departure.
CANCELLATIONS & CHANGES- Cancellations received 60 days or more prior to departure: $ 250.00 Per Person; 59 to 46 days: 25% of the tour price; 45 to 31 days: 50% of the tour price; 30 or less: 100%. To protect against cancellation charges, we strongly recommend purchasing Cancellation Protection and Travel Interruption insurance. A Change fee of $ 50 to $100 per person will be charged to any changes made after initial reservations and paid deposits. No refund will be made for any unused accommodations and or any missed meals, sightseeing tours, excursions or unused services of chartered transportation. The right is reserved to cancel any individual membership in its entirety or part thereof by refunding a proportionate balance for the unused portion of the tour. All cancellations must be received in writing by ACTC. Refunds will be calculated from the date the written cancellation is received by ACTC. No claims will be considered after 30 days from the termination of the tour.
Additional terms specific to a Customized tour, special interest tour, Astronomy & other groups, meetings and incentive tours will be advised at the time of booking. Please refer to your invoice & / or booking agreement.
INSURANCE- ACTC strongly recommends a Travel Insurance Plan to protect you and your investment in the event of a sudden emergency before or during your trip. ACTC works with Travel Guard to offer various insurance options to our clients. The options are not limited, and participants are free to work with insurance company of their liking.
TOUR PRICE INCLUDES:
ACCOMMODATIONS- Listed category of hotel accommodations, as these terms may be defined by the hospitality industry in the region providing such accommodations, or by trade custom, will be used exclusively. In the event that an accommodation of such grade is unavailable, the best available accommodation will be provided. Rates are based on two persons sharing a twin-bedded room. Members occupying single rooms, either by choice or by circumstance, will pay the single room supplement as specified for each tour.
MEALS- as specified are included. Freedom of Choice dining (offered on select escorted tours)- a unique ACTC dining plan provides – Full buffets, superb multi choice table d’hôte menus and occasional a-la-carte and specialty restaurants including regional cuisine’s in the cities are selected for a truly memorable experience. Special meals and entertainments are included as shown in the tour itinerary. Any dietary requirements are conveyed to hotels and participating agencies, provided as per local conditions, availability etc.
SIGHTSEEING AND LAND TOUR SERVICES- The following services are generally included in your tour price: transportation between airports and hotels, baggage handling and porterage, sightseeing with local English-speaking guides as mentioned in the itinerary and entrance fees to attractions visited as per itinerary. Sightseeing will be via motor bus, private car and other modes of transportation (air conditioned where necessary and available), as determined by the nature of the terrain and as outlined in the initial travel agreement and final tour itinerary document. Those making their own air arrangements (applies to set group departures/ tours and special group tours) on other airlines will join their tour at the Hotel of arrival city. Private transfers and additional services will be arranged as needed/required by clients. Additional costs may apply.
GRATUITIES- are at traveler’s discretion, tipping recommendation chart is available on request.
AIRLINE CLAUSE- The airlines concerned are not to be held responsible for any act; omission or event during the time passengers is not onboard their aircraft. The passenger tickets in use by the airline, when issued shall constitute the sole contract between the airline and the purchaser of these tours/tickets and or the passenger.
During Pandemic and other situations (refer Force Majeure clause) including airlines going out of bsiiness is beyond control of ACTC. Airlines may opt to issue vouchers for future travel, postponement of travel until a specified or unspecified period. Please note that ACTC is not responsible for such actions taken by the airlines. Acceptance of vouchers, postponement of travel is sole responsibility of the traveler. ACTC acts as advisor in travel and is not agent of airlines.
AIRLINES BAGGAGE REGULATIONS– Please refer to Airline regulations and allowance depending upon fare type and airline policies. Please check at time of booking or refer to airline website, terms listed in fares etc. Airlines reserves the right to change baggage allowance. The regional requirements for flights within the Country/ sub-continent are by weight, varying from 33 or 44 or 55 pounds. per person. Carry‑on baggage is not to exceed 45 inches and must conform to under seat size requirements of 9x14x22 inches. Baggage and personal effects are at owner’s risk throughout the tour and baggage insurance is strongly recommended. Carrier liability for tour member’s baggage is clearly stated on the passenger contract included on all tickets or can be found on file for inspection at the offices of the carrier. Liability for checked and unchecked baggage shall in no event exceed the actual loss incurred by the passenger, subject to proof of the amount of loss. Read all of the conditions of your ticket. Federal law and treaties limit the amount of recovery for loss of or damage to your luggage or its contents. To protect against such limitations, you may purchase additional insurance.
TOUR PRICE EXCLUDES: Air transportation, passport, visa fees and processing fees, Inoculations, health certificate fees, airport taxes, all items of personal nature including wine, liquor, meals not specified, tips, room service and items not on regular menus, excess baggage charges, cancellation health and accident insurance, transfers airport/Hotel/airport when using airlines not connected with the tour, and any items not specifically listed as included are not included in the tour price.
WAIVER OF LIABILITY/INDEMNIFICATION- Customer hereby agrees that he/she is voluntarily participating in the travel services that ACTC has reserved on behalf of Customer. Customer and those that are listed as travelers in the Travel Event assume the risk of all inherent dangers, whether known or unknown, in any way connected with the travel services and Travel Event, including those provided by Travel Suppliers. Customer waives any and all specific notice of such conditions or any obligation to be warned of the same.
FORCE MAJEURE- ACTC shall not be responsible for failure to perform any of its obligations under this Agreement during any period in which such performance is prevented or delayed due to Force Majeure, nor for changes to or terminations of your trip due to Force Majeure. “ForceMajeure” refers to any event beyond ACTC ’reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, fire, flood, mudslides, earthquakes, war, labordisputes, strikes, epidemics, World Health Organization’s advisories and/or alerts, disease, pandemic, virus, illness, Center for Disease Control’s advisories and/or alerts, U.S. State Department’s advisories and/or alerts, any order of any local, provincial or federal government authority, interruption of power Services, terrorism or any other causes beyond the control of ACTC.
Very rarely, you may be forced by “force majeure” to change or terminate your trip after departure but before the scheduled end of your trip. This is unlikely but if this situation does occur, we regret we will be unable to make any refunds (unless we obtain any refunds from our Suppliers), pay you any compensation, or meet any costs or expenses you incur as a result. ACTC reserves the right to cancel any services described in a trip itinerary due to Force Majeure.
IMPOSSIBILITY OF PERFORMANCE – No refund(s) will be issued for cancellationsdue to actual or threatened terrorist events.
If travel plans are delayed or cancelled for any reason there will be no refunds issued by ACTC, except in those circumstances where ACTC has issued its own schedule of cancellation, applicable to all or a portion of a booking (whenever such a schedule is issued, it will specifically indicate which trip component(s) it is issued for and it will apply ONLY to the specific trip component(s) indicated).
Please note that a‘ trip ’or‘ booking’ often consists of multiple components, each of which may carry its own cancellation penalties (example: an airline ticket, a pre-trip hotel night, a multi-day adventure vacation by a supplier, a post-trip extension designed by ACTC, all of which may be subject to a different set of cancellation policies.
RESPONSIBILIY LIMITATION ON LIABILITY– A Classic Tours Collection (ACTC) of Redondo Beach, California and its affiliates herein after referred to as “A Classic Tours Collection or ACTC” act only in the capacity of an advisor for the hotels, airlines, bus companies, railroads, shipping-lines, or contractors providing accommodations, transportation or other services to the client. The client is advised that ACTC purchases such transportation, hotel accommodations, restaurant and other services from various independent suppliers who are not affiliated with ACTC. ACTC makes every effort to choose the best suppliers of the aforementioned services. However ACTC has no right to control the operations of these suppliers/ providers and as a result, CANNOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY PERSONAL INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE OR OTHER CLAIM which may occur as the result of (1) the wrongful, negligent or arbitrary acts or omissions on the part of the independent supplier’s, agent’s, their employees or others who are not under the direct control or supervision of ACTC; (2) defects or failures of any vessel, aircraft, vehicle or other instrumentality which is under the control of independent supplier’s; or (3) loss, injury or damage to person, property or otherwise, resulting directly or indirectly from any Acts of God, dangers incident to the sea, fire, breakdown in machinery or equipment, or wars (whether declared or not), hostilities, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts pilferage, medical epidemics, quarantines, or customs regulation, defaults, delays or cancellations of or change in itinerary of schedules, or from any causes beyond ACTC control. Further, ACTC is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from insufficient or improperly issued passports, visas or other legal documents. All coupons, exchange orders, receipts, contracts and tickets issued by ACTC are issued subject to any and all tariffs, terms, and conditions under which any services are provided by such hotels, airlines, bus companies, railroads, ship lines or owners or contractors or by their person in employ.
RESERVATION OF RIGHTS- ACTC (when deemed necessary) reserves the right to: (1) cancel any itinerary or any part of it; (2) make alterations to the itinerary (including but not limited to alterations to substitution of hotels); and (3) decline to accept any person as a tour passenger should such person’s health, mental or physical condition impedes the operation of the tour of other passengers. Tour participants are held responsible to be in sufficient good health to undertake the tour.
DISCLAIMER- ACTC is not responsible for any errors, omissions or misquotes contained in this brochure or any other accompanying promotional documentation. The contents of said brochure or promotional documentation or customized tour may be changed at anytime (including but not limited to rates and itinerary) without notice and at ACTC sole discretion. IT IS SPECIALLY AGREED THAT THIS AGREEMENT IS ENTERED INTO IN THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, AND THAT IN THE EVENT ANY LEGAL OR EQUITABLE ACTION IS INITIATED CONCERNING THE INTERPRETATION, ENFORCEMENT OR BREACH OF ANY TERM, OBLIGATION OR DUTY AS CONTAINED OR RELATED IN THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS AS SET FORTH IN THIS BROCHURE, IT IS SPECIFICALLY AGREED THAT THE EXCLUSIVE VENUE OF SUCH ACTION SHALL BE SOLELY IN THE STATE, COUNTY, AND CITY OF ACTC PRINCIPAL PLACE OF BUSINESS, WHICH IS THE CITY OF REDONDO BEACH, TORRANCE, LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, USA It is also stipulated that the law of New York and its interpretations
of applicable federal law, statutes and treaties, shall exclusively apply.
ARBITRATION:If a dispute arises out of or relates to this contract, or breach thereof,and if the dispute cannot be settled through negotiation, the parties agree first to try in good faith to settle the dispute by mediation administered by the world travel dispute center under the applicable guidelines as established by international forum for travel and tourism(IFTTA) before resorting to arbitration, litigation, or some other dispute resolution procedure. If mediation is not successful, the parties will settle by binding arbitration administered by the world travel dispute center under the applicable guidelines as established by iftta.
LAW:All parties here by consent to the jurisdiction of all state and federal courts sitting in Los Angeles county, State of California, and agree that venue for any such action shall lie exclusively in such courts without regard to choice of law principles, and agrees that such courts shal l be the exclusive forum for any legal actions brought in connection with this agreemen tor the relationships among the parties here to.
